Different not always means better

Everybody knows street style blogs, the place where ordinary people who impress by their look are photographed.I love to follow these blogs, because I get a lot of inspiration from there and it helps many people to create some special looks.
I love the fact that fashion bloggers can represent such an important influence in the way that people all around the world dress, but I think that they shouldn't copy the entire outfit, but to pick only what fits them.
I know that everyone wants to be different and special, but sometimes simple goes a long way.As the title says:"Different doesn't always mean better",or worse for that matter,I find some outfits that,in my opinion, are way too much and I wouldn't post them on a street style blog.
You know how some magazines have columns named "What to wear and what NOT to wear"?Well,I 'm thinking to create such a column for my blog.On that idea, bellow are some photos with outfits that I wouldn't wear.

Supermodels in music videos

Have you noticed the tendency that has been around since the last twenty years ago, supermodels of the time making an appearance in the music videos of some artists? This phenomena was at its peak especially in the 90's,and it included some of the most successful models like Naomi Campbell,Helena Christensen and the list goes on.Bellow are some photos of them.

I think that is a great way to make people watch a video even if the song doesn't appeal to us for various reasons;also it's a very good publicity stunt that ,in my opinion, more artists should learn from those who were before them.

Helena Christensen in Wicked Game by Chris Isaak

Linda Evagelista,Cindy Crawford,Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington in "Too funky" by George Michael

Naomi Campbell in "In The Closet" by Michael Jackson

Here is an Rihanna who took the idea and put it into practice.I would like to see more of the nowadays singers that do the same thing.

Laetitia Casta in "Te amo" by Rihanna

What about you?Would you like to see Agyness Deyn ,Chanel Iman or other model in some singer's music video?

In love with:purple shirt

I usually don't post pictures with me,but I have to show you my latest love.Since today the sun finally appeared on the sky,I was so happy because lately it rains every single day!I love the summer but when the weather is warm and it doesn't rain!Anyway,I went for a walk in the park and I wore my obsession:my purple shirt.Since I bought it I wore it over and over again because I simply love it and I will do the same in the future.
How about you?Do you have a favorite item that you wear until you can't anymore? If yes, what is it?
P.S.1 :I have to buy me a camera.
P.S.2:I have to lose some weight.

Laetitia Casta as Brigitte Bardot

After her british colleague,Agyness Deyn, doing a movie,it's now the turn of not other than the french model Laetitia Casta acting in a film called "Serge Gainsbourg, Vie Heroique",which is based on the life of the French singer who had an love affair with Brigitte Bardot, before marrying Jane Birkin. The movie appeared on January 20 in France.

You may wonder why Laetitia was chosen for this role;the answer is very simple:because she is a French woman, she resembles a lot with Bardot and both of them received the title of Marianne,a legendary beauty who embodies the country.
What do you think about how she looks blonde? Is it a good change or a bad one?In my opinion she is is more beautiful like that

Retro swimwear

Since the temperatures seems that are going to remain high with the summer approaching so fast, the first thought that crossed my mind was to go to the seaside.

Once I figured that out,I realised that I have to purchase a swimsuit,so I started looking for them. The ones that caught my attention were the vintage bathingsuits,I find them so chic and feminine, enhancing the women's features so well.Allthough they cover more skin than usual I don't mind because I'm not a big fan of excessive tanning. In fact,in the old days(18th century),the swimsuit was created especially to keep the skin white and untouched by the sun.I can only hope that the girls from these days acquire practice on this idea(not radically),preventing the harmful consequences of UV and X rays exposure.

Bellow are some photos with retro swimwear,I especially picked the ones with pattern(dots or stripes) because are more special,in my opinion.

Cassette tape art

Everybody used to own those cassette tape before the cd's had appeared, right?Well, some people found new ways to use them, not only listening to music. For example, flickr member,iri5,has posted on her profile a set of photos with this cassette tape work, containing portraits of some iconic musicians or actors. She says:"The idea comes from a philosopher's (Ryle) description of how your spirit lives in your body. I imagine we are all, like cassettes, thoughts wrapped up in awkward packaging."It seems that creative people are still around, and how great that is,we can only congratulate them.Bellow are some photos of her work, hope you like it.
